Fecal transplants are a thing and very interesting at that. A fecal transplant is exactly what it sounds like, they take poop from a healthy individual and put it in the rectum of a sick individual. Sometimes if a person has a C. difficile infection, they will get a fecal transplant from someone who is healthy. This will, normally, take care of the infection. There have been interesting cases about the side effects of this. A women who had always been a healthy weight and in shape got a transplant from an overweight woman. Within a short period of time, they woman who received the transplant had become overweight.
In a previous job I knew someone who was working on a method to do oral fecal transplants. Basically preserve the poop, put it in a capsule, and swallow. Not sure I could do that.
