I left a bag of apples on the floor two nights ago. Yesterday I went to put them away and noticed one had been chewed on. I thought a rat had gotten into the house, so I called the exterminator. He told me that a mouse had done it. He said a rat would have eaten the whole apple. I set out a trap last night, but didn’t get anything.

We have had one mouse in the house that I know of
Never saw it until I heard one of the cats tossing something around in the kitchen, making much more noise than he does with a regular toy
I took it away before he ate it
We have six cats, a mouse has to be very brave or very stupid to come in here
