The closest I have ever come to liking fish was a grilled halibut steak. It was very fresh and prepared by an expert, and I’m told it was an extraordinary example of its kind, and to me it was just bland, watery beefsteak. But at least it didn’t taste fishy.
Took me a long time to acquire a taste for seafood that wasn’t a tuna sandwich. In adulthood, I’ve eaten more fish than land animals. Still not my go-to.
Y’all should come to New Orleans. Redfish Ponchartrain from Venezia’s, seared and topped with a crab and crawfish dill sauce, or Trout Meuniere from Mandina’s, or just the thin-sliced fried catfish at Middendorf’s.

I say it all the time; I don’t like fish or seafood. As an adult I don’t scream or throw a fit but I don’t buy it or eat it.

I don’t like fish either, which stinks cuz I live near Boston where there are lots of great fish places. I wish I did, but blah!

Fish I like? Think of the three "S"s… Sardines, Salmon, and Sushi… ☺
Oh, and a non-“S”, Pickled Herring…

Funny, this sounds familiar, but I don’t think “fish” is exactly how I remember it :)

Battered and fried and enough tartar sauce they are quite edible, people.

As I am dragged kicking a griping into old age, the one benifit is I don’t have to eat liver any more.
