Brilliant!
The trucker’s advice is so true. Though for me, it’s after hour 15 that I lose the will to live (hour 10 if driving with small children that are not sedated).
I love the Dirk Pitt reference … .
And when I drive with the family, the wife is in charge of the kids, I get the easy part.
If you run out of audio books, you can always turn off the dashboard lights and plan world domination out loud.
I don’t recall Dirk Pitt or Al Giordino ever using a pumice stone or moisturizer.
I know a guy who drives a reads at the same time. I’m always amazed when I see him alive. Dead wouldn’t shock me.
Oh this so reminds me of a few miserable weekend trips w/ a friend I finally realised is only good for 3 hours max. Then I want to kill her.
My wife used to do cross-stich in the car.
Was she driving?
It made life more interesting.
