    So he is an office manager, in addition to being a scapegoat. Since he fills both roles, his compensation would seem more than adequate. I wonder what position is stated on his business card. I imagine introduction goes like this:

    Hi, my name is Scott, Professional Scapegoat by choice, Office Manager by design

    “In the end, the final decision is yours, and you’re who’ll have to live with it.”

    That can’t be grammatically correct. “…and you’re THE ONE who’ll have to live with it.” seems better. But keeping the present tense of “is” should change the “will.” As in, “In the end, the final decision is yours, and you’re the one who has to live with it.”
