American health care in a nutshell. Living overseas has taught me that there are multiple ways to provide health care for all that don’t leave people bankrupt if they get catastrophic diseases.
And this guy — has he ever been named? — is going to need health insurance. I think this is the first time I’ve seen him less than volcanically angry; he’s a candidate for some stress-related disease.
Chris Rock criticized it as “in-case s***.” One thing we have to remember is that it’s a gamble for the company as well. Mandating coverage for all is a no-win proposal.

Sounds like the pitch the government is making for Obamacare… Except they threaten to fine and imprison you if you don’t buy their product!

You shouldn’t have to buy medical insurance if you can post $1,000,000 bond with overage insurance. Bankruptcy is not a medical plan.

Health insurance is a ripoff. The only thing you can be sure of is that your rates will continue to rise while your coverage drops.
