Is there a “rebeer” to go with that rebate?

    Good morning, BCers

Well, if you stopped by the bar on the way to go fishin’, then rebar is what you do on your way back home.

You don’t want to walk into a rebar. You can get hammered on the spiked drinks. Though it is a good place to nail some stud finders. If you’re not too plastered.

Usually the dictionary strips are a miss but this one is actually pretty funny.

Gweedo, those are always tough decisions. We all could end up the same way some day, but in the end the nursing home can provide better care than you can.

On the the other hand, I’d never want to leave my home. I’d much prefer to die there than in a nursing home or hospital.

Hey Gweedo… I don’t always check comics later in the day, but I’m glad I did. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this with your dad. I don’t know all the details, but it’s always difficult dealing with parents getting older. I’m sure you’ll make the best decision for your dad and his situation, and it’ll all work out in the end. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Ideally, we’d all like to be at home with some professional care so that we’re in a loving environment with little to no burden on our family. Doesn’t always work out, but that would be the best, in my mind.

Tomorrow my kids are going with their church’s childrens choir to sing at a nursing home. I’m sure none of the people there ever wanted to finish their days like this, so we’ve had a discussion tonight about talking with the seniors and being respectful and having some fun at the same time. I hope we can brighten part of their day…
