Lamer and lamer. I’ve been a fan since the characters were wide and squat. The situations have become too blatantly contemporary, and Curls, Wiley and The Fat Broad are the only standout characters. My all-time favourite strip: BC and Curls watching Clumsy Carp crossing a plain – panel 1: BC says “You’re on.”, panel 2: Clumsy trips over the only rock insight, panel 3: Curls says “Pay up.” Brilliant
Ah the the lessons for life that are missed without playing on a teeter-totter (our way of saying see-saw) in your youth:- learn to be cautious about trusting others- discover the joys of finding someone you can trust- the early physics lessons – if a heavier person sits closer to the center (fulcrum for those science minded) it is possible for two people of unequal weight to enjoy the experience.
Insurance companies? What business do they have in a public playground? We, even as kids, knew that it was play at your own risk. The best you could do after getting hurt (and it happened often) was run home crying.
I feel sorry for so many of the oversheltered youth of today!

My kids play outside and love it. There aren’t any seesaws around though, so they don’t know the “fun” of those.

The see saw was worth about five minutes of fun. Had to have someone with almost equal weight.

I remember the original Playstations too: the see-saw, monkey bars, sliding boards, plus the swings. I miss those days.

Teeter-Totter – Boot up with a foot push. Shut down with a jump off. Requires two or more players at all times. Score keeping not necessary.
