My dog sleeps downstairs, but the the moment he hears me get out of bed, he jumps up, shakes (jingling his tags loudly) and sits at the bottom of the stairs with this little whine that apparently only I can hear.
Commenting on RODNEY’s comment [submit refused to work].Some days are like that – you shouldn’t get out of bed. And it’snot as if you were having that much luck IN it!
My cat is known as the alarm cat. If I hit the snooze bar the second time, he’s on the bed purring in my ear; if that doesn’t work…it’s a big MEOW in the ear. Next comes the licking…I don’t ever wait till next anymore!!

Or else he’ll do what my boyfriend’s cat does and just stomp all over him until he finally gets up.

The problem is teaching the dog or cat that you want to sleep in on Labor Day.

I know all too well what it’s like to be awakened at 5 am by a wet nose stuck in my ear…

Fortunately, my dog is just as lazy as I am!

My daschund flaps her ears every morning to wake us up.If you don’t get up she moves close enough to hit you with them.

Good reason to invent the door.

Nothing like a loving, cold wet nose early in the morning.

I would prefer the dog’s method; I live in the Philippines with 758 roosters in the immediate area (none of whom can tell time).
