    Oh, I understand Tarantulae just fine. They really are the spawn of Lucifer. They’re mischievous. They love to run up your arm and dance on top of your head.

    True story… it happened to me. I’m not sure exactly what dance he was doing, since I couldn’t actually see him up there, but if I had to guess, I’d say it was the jitterbug.

    I wonder how many more strips they an make with an apteryx. Already more than I thought.

    It’s a good thing they define an Apteryx every day. I might forget that it is a wingless bird with hairy feathers after the 20th strip.

    Yikes. I remember when the Apteryx and Grog first made their appearances in this strip. Why can’t I remember really important stuff? Like where did I just put my pen?!

    Spawn of lucifer, LOL! Tarantulas are cute. Kids on my block used to catch one, tie a yarn “leash” around it and take it for a walk.

    In my wife’s country they eat tarantulas, it’s a delicacy
