Maybe it’s because everything is picked over and good stuff is hard to find. Grocery shopping on any day consists of a lot of hunting and gathering.

Those Italian grannies can be vicious when it comes to grocery shopping!

War and Pizza? A swing and a miss… The Count doesn’t get it either

I’m not Italian but I’ve been invited to one or two Italian family dinners and learned that the only mistake one can make is to not eat enough. This had to be explained to me when they thought I didn’t like the food, although I ate more than I should, or needed.

Not to mention the husbands of those moms helping the shop

And they are not wrong!

I’m certain it’s not limited to Italian mothers, and surely a stereotype, but Italian women have mastered being a ‘drama queen’. Everything is ‘trial and tribulation’.

All I know is, you won’t be able to find a parking space at the mall

Sadly, even more so at this time of year, I cannot ask my Italian wife of 58 years because Jesus’ answer was “NO.”

Nobody ever said shopping would be pleasant.
