I have the same issues about my slowly (I hope) growing bald spot. It is where I don’t see it, so I deny its existence. My wife takes an unsympathetic joy in pointing it out to me.
I was at IHOP with a friend and she was laughing about how, the last time she was there, she mistook the syrup for coffee and filled her coffee cup with syrup. As she talked, she picked up the coffee and poured it over her pancakes.
