This explains why I buy mom reference gardening books especially for our neck of the woods. And they have to have those full bodied, coloured photos. She makes lists. Draws little diagrams. Walks out to the garden in winter, looks around, comes back in, makes more lists and more diagrams….. and if she’s not sure on a plant… it goes into a pot to be moved around until she’s happy.

I think the seed companies hire professional models for their photos. I’ve never seen real flowers that look so good.
