Yup. Being a grandparent gives you a chance to do all the things you wished you had had time to do with your kids but were to busy with work/life/survive stuff. If your kids were lucky enough to have grandparents who did for them what your doing with yours now, they will truly experience the circle of life. It takes a village to raise well rounded kids IMHO.
Is this something which is done in Canada – fill the back yard with water to make a skating rink? I am amazed that the water tap for the hose is not shut off inside the house to prevent the tap from freezing – ours has to be shut off and we live in the NE US.
