I tore my ankle my senior year of high school – back then it was “you tore something as it is not broken per the X-rays” so I don’t know what I tore. For some time I had to wear an ankle brace (Ace bandage sewn into shape of a spiral.) Over several years I only needed same when walking for a long time (I had not worn it in some time and no longer had one on first trip with husband to Colonial Williamsburg and we had to find a pharmacy and buy one.)
But since it was torn it NEEDS to be cracked. It will start to bother me terribly and I have to point and rotate my foot until I feel it crack – sometimes several times in a row. Husband thinks it crazy that I need to do this – and that I can do it – but has gotten used to over the decades and now thinks that it is “cute”.

the other day we were commenting about his glasses frames changing… I think they always have! square in front view and round in side view!

As a kid, I also was very impressed at how much cracking my dad could do…

See what you have to look forward to, but there’s a price you pay for those talents.
