Oh the Japanese lessons so reminds me of the story my mom told me after she and I went to Germany by boat when I was 6 months old and Tony Bennett was on the boat and we were in the Newspaper. I came home after a year of us being there and only spoke German. My dad and my grandma (my dad’s mom) were so upset that I no longer spoke English. So they made my mom only speak in English. In later years my mom told me the story and I was very mad at them as I could have used the German as my language class. But because I only spoke a little of it by then it did not work. I was so mad as that could have passed as my language class. Oh and in later years once they all moved to Florida and my dad started driving a limo to pick up movie stars, singers etc and they picked up Tony Bennett and he recognized my mom and my mom had my HS pic in her wallet so she showed it to him and he said wow she grew up to look like you. My mom said yeah many times we were mistaken for sisters when I was younger.

Origami is not easy. He did an admirable job of making a crane.

Nice to know his grandpa is sharing his heritage with grandkids. Especially since one of them made an origami crane so well.

Grandpa should be encouraging, not discouraging.

Reminds me of an old David Letterman Top Ten List: Top Ten Ways That The Name Nagano (an Olympics site) Is Mispronounced By James Earl Jones.

But he’s doing pretty good with the origami part, even if he can’t pronounce it.
