Laundry soaps don’t get rid of odors anymore – those good old cleaners were bad for the environment. Not wearing same shoes two days in a row helps – let them dry thoroughly. Spray a shot of vinegar into non-leather shoes. I’m trying a 1/4 cup of “pine” cleaner with the laundry soap. No more detectable odor out of the dryer, but then I may still be afflicted after Covid infection – sense of smell has taken a long time to come back fully.
Let’s be honest a “real” dog would be walking with the feet and sniffing and trying to roll on them. My recently deceased wife and I had many animals (dogs and cats) who loved the smelly shoes and feet. Those are all gone now and not from smelling the smells either (haha)
I was walking with my unleashed cat one day, when I noticed that she was acting very well-trained. She was staying just ahead and to the right. That’s when I realized that I was the one walking “at heel”.

If he would just go ahead instead of hanging back it wouldn’t be a problem

He’s had those same style black socks and sneakers on all week. No stink control at all.

Gotta be pretty bad if it offends a dog.

There she goes again, thinking her feet are like a bed of roses.

If the smell is in the back why would the dog go forward?
