A fun kind of puzzle is to deal out 25 random cards and then try to make 5 “pat” hands with them. A pat hand is one that does not need to be drawn to (flush, straight, full house, 4 of a kind). As this is actually very easy to do, adding the rule that all five cards of each hand must be used (disallowing 4 of a kind) makes it a little more challenging. I first saw this on the old TV Western, “Maverick”.
