When I was a kid and garage door openers were new technology a friend and I discovered we could open some garage doors by triggering our KnightKit walkie-talkies… great days of exploration :-)
When I backed out of my garage and radioed that I was in service, my neighbor’s garage door would open. I had to wait until I was about a block away before going 10-8.
Back in the fifties when remote controls first became common, every time our neighbor opened his garage door it changed our TV channel. Had to have his remote reprogrammed to a different frequency. Our TV remote wasn’t powerful enough to open his garage door, though.
