I would think one store so far, the basket is almost full. My question is, is this for 1 child only?

Get an extra white one and write “THIS IS ORANGE!” on it.

The teachers could buy what they want in bulk and let the parents pay them.

Maybe it’s my monitor; I see an orange one in her hand, but no yellow one.

We never had to deal with colors when I went to school.

We live on Long Island. Schools here would start before they did in NYC. So rather than going crazy with the crowds near by, we would call my dad at his office in Manhattan, read him the list and he would buy the supplies we needed for us and bring them home. He would also cover our books (no commercial book covers here) which needed same all when he came home late that night.

When I got to college – I would call home and get the list for my sisters and buy their supplies in the college bookstore to avoid the crowds.

Of course basics such as pencils, pens, erasers, glues, rulers and such we would not go out and buy we would just “shop” and take them from dad’s office supplies.
