I think Crumpets are a line of clothing Helen Mirren wears… found out via Google.

It’s a reference to a 60 Minutes interview Morey Safer did with Helen, where he called her “a thinking man’s crumpet”.

Crumpets aren’t supposed to think, just look good and adore their keeper. Back in the day, the E-type Jaguar motorcar was known as the ultimate crumpet catcher. A crumpet was sort of a bimbo, and perhaps a bit perkier than Helen Mirren.

For all you North Americans the term ‘crumpet’ is English slang for a Beautiful woman ! as in man in bar saying " Now there’s a bit of crumpet, I’d like to nibble on !" So… Helen Mirren is a beautiful woman with cream/butter on top, saying she’s also MORE than just beautiful, Get it ?
