NEVER Talk to a Boss above you immediate supervisor. In 40 years of working I have had about 5 of these type of conversations. Twice I told them everything on my mind and heart. BIG mistake. The next 3 times I just kept my mouth shut. If this happens again I’ll just ask. do I look stupid? Although I’m so close to retirement I may just let them have it.

I worked for a company, once, that had a web form where employees could leave comments/complaints. Officially, it was anonymous but I didn’t take chances. Unlike my regular communications there, I used the spelling, grammar and syntax of an eighteen-year-old entry level employee. I figured that if they tried to work out who wrote it, they’d never think of me. And, I stayed working there until the facility was closed and all of us were laid off at the same time.

Simplest rule is, never say or write anything about anyone that you wouldn’t be happy to say to their face. That way you think about your words and keep things constructive.
