My favorite Rockford episodes are two different two-part episodes: Never Send A Boy King To Do A Man’s Job and Lions, Tigers, Monkeys and Dogs, the latter of which guest stars Lauren Bacall, still looking gorgeous in the ’70s.
I have every episode of Rockford in .avi files – the TV movies, too.
Years ago, Jack Ohman (better known for his editorial cartoons) did a syndicated strip called Mixed Media. One strip had an alien bringing a man to his flying saucer at blasterpoint and the other alien berating him: “You idiot! You abducted James Garner!” It was captioned The Rockford X-Files.

Thomas Magnum P.I. is what Jim Rockford P.I. would have been if he had landed a sweet set up like Magnum. Both were fun. I would watch.
