My “adult” coloring books are either very intricate designs or nature books (sea creatures, mammals, birds, flowers) that are better suited to colored pencils than crayons. But I do have some “children’s” coloring books with Bugs Bunny/Lisa Frank creatures/etc. THEY work with crayons. :o) Ok. I think I will be coloring tonight!
When my mom was in the ICU for the last few weeks of her life, the nurses actually suggested coloring books as a way to relieve her stress and occupy her time. So we went to the nearby Walgreens and picked up some colored pencils and children’s coloring books for her. She DID enjoy it, although it was still pretty boring for her being stuck in the hospital bed all day long.
