I wonder if he’s listening to the Don Ellis band playing Hank Levy’s “Chain Reaction.” Just about the best thing Hank ever wrote. Of course, there’s always Hank’s “Whiplash,” which was the impetus for the Oscar-winning movie of the same name back in 2014. And the Stan Kenton band played a lot of Hank’s stuff. About the most wicked stuff out there.

Back in the days of teletype machines, my girl friend and I timed the bells to play Jingle Bells. The supervisor was NOT impressed.
