Betty! Go to a VERY high class bakery or “natural foods” type place, buy something that LOOKS like it could be homemade (but is WELLmade) and put it in your own container! No shame! Honest!Ok, well, maybe a little shame. But nothing like what you’ll feel if everyone sees evidence of your real baking! And the stress you’ll avoid will be well worth the $$ spent!
Lemon (or chocolate or other flavor) Desert1st part Graham cracker crust (mix crushed graham crackers with butter and a bit of sugar) for a 9X13 pan I use roughly 3/4 of a box of graham crackers, 1 stick of butter and 1.5 tbsp sugar, melt butter mix together and press into bottom of pan.2nd part 1 cup powdered sugar, 8oz softened cream cheese, 1 cup cool whip. Beat and layer into crust3rd part 3 cups milk and 2 pkgs of instant pudding (your choice of flavor) mix and pour over part 2Chill for 1 hr and top with rest of carton of cool whip, sprinkle top with chopped nuts if desired. this can be made ahead and frozen. The lemon is really good on a hot day post BBQ.

If he thought they were good, maybe she invented a different type of dessert? Sure doesn’t sound like typical cupcakes!
