It’s not even political anymore. “Post-truth” is a delusion. It’s hiding from reality, and making things up as you go along. The thing is, the truth of reality, reality-truth, will always assert itself.
If there is a wild animal in your bed, you can pretend that it isn’t there. You might feel better, saying that you aren’t afraid that it is going to bite you, but until you admit it, that creature will be waiting for you, and your bed will become increasingly crowded. Accept the truth, and you can call animal control and have it removed.

a promise – another political jab in a great comic strip and you lose another subscriber – and if you don’t care – neither do i(so tired of the stupidity of political comments and abuse on BOTH sides, especially in the ‘comics’ not listed under political ‘cartoons’)
The real problem with all this post truth stuff is that the idea is mainly being pushed by those who before were printing misleading news and are now upset they have been caught. So they are calling their detractors “post truth” or “fake news”
Political??!? For heaven’s sake, open your eyes. The idea that our society is expected to accept “fake news”, “fake truth”, and “journalism” that is solely motivated by bucks is NOT political issue and IS fodder for a medium that reflects and/or skewers the foibles of life.
I agree with the comment above. I think that the real issue isn’t so much whether this strip is becoming too ‘political’ as it is that oxymorons (emphasis on the MORONS) like ‘post-truth’ have actually become a part of modern parlance. That being said, I can’t argue that comics are a nice place to escape from such woes …
