If we were lucky and dad decided to buy us gifts, he would purchase gift vouchers at the last minute on christmas eve. Otherwise, he left the gift organising/giving to mum. He hated shopping and did not like spending on others, lol. Good old dad x
It’s amazing to see how we keep wasting resources in buying stuff for others that they don’t need nor want. And we socially condemn the re-gifter, the only one who’s eco-friendly. The idea of “giving” is to give from ourselves, from our hearts. We’re “gifting” crap from China just to get done with it…
We now buy Christmas presents all through the year, if we find something nice we just buy it for X or Y. Just before Christmas we open the closet and pull them out. So much better…
