She has to see what else is there that she hadn’t thought of.

A very naive man.

I have gone shopping for one certain item and came out with several items except that one certain item.

She grocery shops like I do.

My wife can’t understand the concept of ordering on the Web, driving to Wally’s parking lot and picking it up. “Where’s the fun in that?”

Like he’s not going to spend five minutes in the snack aisle.

My wife sends me to get groceries. I buy only what is on the list, nothing more, even if everything else is free. I save a lot of money by no impulse buying.

I shop from a list, my wife goes on gathering runs. But she never buys anything we won’t use eventually. We currently have 41 boxes of Kraft Mac’n’cheese and 19 lbs of spaghetti noodles.

Thank God for the internet! We don’t have to stand around waiting while a spouse shops. We can even order our groceries online, then drive to the store and they’ll have them ready to load in my car.

I seldom bring my hubby with me shopping. I might stick to the list and pick up a few good “lose leader” bargains but he’ll start picking up all kinds of things not on the list. That being said, if I ask him in advance what he wants me to buy he usually has no clear answer. He’s a “I’ll know when I see it” kind of food shopper.

These days that’s the best plan. I consider the layout of the store and make my list according the route I must take going through. I don’t want to spend any more time inside store with lots of people than I have to!

some people just hate to shop. they are at the stpore for one reason and one reason only;get their sanitized basket, get out their list, go to the aisles that have the items they need, go to the checkout, pay for their items, and then out of the store, load up their items, and then (hopefully) put their cart away and head home, while others, like my husband, loved to walk around especially when the store had numerous things he was really iterested in like sporting good stores.

If we are in a grocery or other comestible establishment I take the list and she, and any daughters that might be with us, roam freely and then we compare carts. We then discuss and some items are returned and others are not. More than once we find the same items in all of our carts.

That’s how I have always shopped Bud. I can’t stand waiting for someone who trolls the aisles like they have all day.

My sister and I live together but we don’t grocery shop together and we live 12 miles from town. I really like grocery shopping and she wants to get in and get out! Or at least I used to. I finally gave in and did my first online grocery order last week. Sad.
