We still use our land line. Hubby has a smart phone and gives people the number, so when he gets a call I have to answer it and then carry the phone into the TV room. Mind you, there’s a phone right next to him, but he swears the smart phone is more convenient.
Look on the internet for the “affordable care act” give them your number and you will get calls all day for years. Also wait till tax time, you will get calls for tax fraud and threatened prison if you don’t call and give all your information so they can clean out your bank account. Betty , there are a lot of fake calls waiting for you……
Many sales calls I get on my cell phone come in with a number that uses my area code and exchange — trying to con me into thinking the call is local so I’ll be more likely to answer. Problem is, I moved 300 miles away from that “local” area over five years ago.

Most days all of my calls are spam, but I never answer if the number isn’t in my index. Soon the political spam texting will stop, maybe.

Almost a year later I am still getting nuisance calls intended for “Shawna” who apparently had my number before me.

You can tell this is a Canadian strip, because they’re not getting political phone calls at this time of year…

I miss letters and two-way conversations! Texting lacks emotional content.

Since my wife and I are both working from home and constantly on calls – we end up texting each other even though we are in the same house!

I like my cell phone, but having my landline makes me feel grounded. :-)
