What is it with people who have to have some kind of stimulation or tingles from an activity? I’m always directed to “have fun” when I head out for a 5km walk (they don’t catch themselves and I need the candy – if you know, you know) but all I’m doing is walking. Sometimes you can just do an activity for its own sake.

Should have seen me cutting and hauling brush yesterday. The very picture of glee!

Fun is internalized. It doesn’t need to be perceived by others. It’s the same way with happiness.
