If I dusted a Christmas tree with that duster, I’d get needles all over the place.

One of my friends in Virginia who’s family was of Scottish origin used to put their tree up one week before Christmas then take down on New Year’s Day and burn it.

We used to get the tree on Black Friday and decorate all weekend. All decorations had to be down by the New Year for that fresh start of things to come. Especially since we used fresh trees. I’m not one to have to store a fake tree for 11 months out of the year.

Get rid of the livestock and you will be surprised at how much less dust there is… and if Earl goes.. no dust.

I used t work with a gal who started playing Christmas music the week before Thanksgiving. By the time I’d heard Jingle Bell Rock six times and Bing Crosby crooning White Christmas four times – in one day! – I was ready to convert.

We have and Advent wreath. The tree goes up Christmas eve, Otherwise it would be too dried out to light the candles.
