I’ve seen a sunset in a mountain pass. In Alaska. At midnight. While I was driving through said pass. ♪ Blinded by the light… ♫

Sounds as if Betty needs some alone time on a mountain pass.

Here’s an idea. Take ice-dancing lessons. Such a great sport…skating. And you’ll use all of your body, not just your feet. If you don’t like that, try ballroom dancing. Just think: total body workouts, glamorous costumes, and music! Beats hiking any day!

How many involve seeing the next day’s sunrise? Be careful exercising when just getting started.

One of my fondest memories of my youth is waking up in a beaver meadow, covered with dew with the sun shining on some adjacent mountain peak in the head waters of Hoder Creek (interior of BC). Went back ~60 years later, and what used to be a hard 6 hour hike now is a gravel road. Where one could catch as many Ontario Brown fish as you could pack out.. now you have to work to catch enough for supper. Progress.. sometimes, is not good.
