That is what made a lot of millennials so frustrating to me, they wanted rewards just for participating. My generation (X) never got those—we were taught winning got you things, losing did not. Nothing wrong with not getting anything when you lose, just being able to participate was enough. But to be metaled because you participated? Tell that to those in fourth, fifth and six place in the Olympics, the Commonweath games and other such events.

Yes I am certainly old enough for GenX. GenX is 1965-1980 and I was born in 1968,
