I got a reader a few years ago. I’ve got a number of books on it I have never finished and a few I haven’t yet started. It makes no sense, but I just can’t get into it.
Going to a Kindle Paperwhite took some getting used to but when I downsized there was no place to store books. I’m used to it now & really like it! When/if I find a real book at a garage sale or the like I can still read it like a book! :-)

The Stand (Uncut) 1152 page length
It 1138 page length
Under the Dome 1074 page length
So, yeah, I could see that. Still like real books though…….

OTOH a book with an appropriate cover, real or fake, can give you some elbow room.

The battery doesn’t run down on a book.

Seems like Mr. King’s books kept getting longer and longer for a decade or so. Not so much since then.

I’ve read one of King’s books long ago and all I remember is how difficult it was to keep reading it. To each their own.

In my opinion, The Dark Tower was a total rip off and cop out. Haven’t read any of his books since.
