Transcript:
Dad: well, i'm off to the doctor for my yearly checkup! it's a feeling of well-being to know that everything's in good working order. Like they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Dad: Oopps. Doctor: nurse, bring in the industrial strength scale.

Or in Dad’s case, a pound of prevention is worth a ton of cure.

Does Nate even love his own dad!?! He has literally no respect for the dude just cuz he’s bald. Come to think of it we never really see any touching father-son moments in this comic strip. I’ve seen touching moments with some people: Nate and Jenny and Nate and another girl he starts dating later on; but no loving moments with his Dad.

Nate needs to respect is dad a lot more. How would he feel if his own son was mocking him more than loving him.

In panel 1 and kind of in panel two it looks like the dad is decapitated and his head is floating
