Well there are 180 days in a school year, and if Nate got detention 150 days out of 180 and he has been around for 14 years 150 * 14 is 2100.

Well, there are 180 days in a school year, and big nate’s been around for 15 years by the time this comic came out, so if we times 180 by 15 we get 2700. But sometimes nate gets more than one detention, so he has 2700+ detentions. Food for the thought.

I’m surprised Nate’s still in school. Combine the fact that Nate has detention every day, his poor grades and bad behavior, he should be expelled by now

If I had to guess, up to 2005, he’s had detentions around the hundreds or maybe the early thousands.
