Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for June 14, 2011
Transcript:
Francis says, "No matter what you get on the Social Studies final, Nate, you can't get an A for the semester." Nate says, "Nuts. What do I need to get a B?" Francis says, "Ummm... A hundred." Nate says, "A hundred? That's a little high, Francis." Nate says, "I mean, I want a good grade and all, but I don't want to put too much pressure on myself!" Francis says, "That's never really been a problem for you." Nate says, "How 'bout a nice, comfy C minus?"

Nate has talent in the arts and sports. He should nurture his strengths. He will be an accomplished comic book artist if he really wants to.

Nate is too lazy to do work so he should just give up now.

Nate is not exactly lazy. You will see what I mean if you look at past strips. He just hates school.

Nate’s good at chess and cartooning, and he’s not that bad at basketball either. I’m not sure if that makes him a genius or a renaissance man, but he does have talents.
