When I worked in the high school library, I would love to “have fun with” the students. They were so full of themselves it was fun to befuddle them. Like Kotter’s line: “This is a school, it’s not supposed to be fun.” or “There’s far too much happy in here.” And, my favourite: “Turn around, bend over, and kick yourself.”

Hopefully no one in the store knows Nate, or else they’ll think he reads Bethany………I wonder how that strip would look like.

Nate, I feel your pain. Why do stores do that? The Rite-Aid in my neighborhood in Boston did that, and I can’t find anything.

If Nate would have ordered it from Amazon, he would have gotten a better deal with free-shipping sans humiliation.

Is “chipper” another term for “light in the loafers” or “sugar in his shoes”?

Chipper: One who wakes up singing in the morning and is annoyingly too perky for regular people. I call them Energiser Bunnies and, believe me, I’ve threatened to remove my husband’s batteries.

This won’t be complete without someone he knows witnessing his humiliation.

i like how the guy doesnt even care that the customer seems homosexual in the situation. Nates lucky hedidnt get the wrong idea
