I’ve been reading all week, waiting for this to get amusing. Now I get it — it’s funny because she’s fat and unattractive, and she’s blackmailing Nate into going to the dance because she’s bigger and stronger than him. And even though this is obviously harassment, no one helps because Nate’s kind of a jerk a lot of the time too. I’m splitting my sides with laughter. Acutally, I wonder if it would be as funny if she was cute and slender, and I also wonder why so few cartoonists ever draw this tired trope that way. (Okay, I’ll go back to lurking again.)

weird. if ms.godfrey (godzilla) is related to kim, there awfully different. Nate should get more fitness and more-being-strong-ness and stand up to her. whats better being a sissy or tortured for the rest of childhood tweenhood and teenagehood?
