When I was a girl and my friends and I would play Monopoly, we’d open up The Friendly Finance Company so we could take out loans and let us all continue to play the game.

I was banker on NYE and still lost.

Monopoly played by the official rules will always have the bank win. all taxes, fees, etc that do not go to a player, go to the bank(no pot on “free parking”). You buy everything for full price from the bank(government?), when you sell back houses/hotels it is 1/2 price and you pay interest on all mortgages.

It is stacked against you, just like life.
