The genius mind is never to old for Nate’s IQ of 68, or was 72?

I believe that due to Peter’s extreme smartness, he may not have many friends, except for that girl who has a crush on him. What was her name again?

I agree with another comment poster; I like Big Nate better than I do Peanuts. I did not choose Peanuts as a favorite when I discovered GoComics. I myself have not seen Big Nate in the hardcopy comics for six years or more.

Like Boo Boo to Yogi, BahBah Loius to “Qeeks-draw”, Ding-a-Ling to Hokey Wolf, Dum-Dum to Touche Turtle, etc. etc………..One personality excels, the “sidekick” regresses somewhat. Or the other way around, depending on who’s standing on the left side of center……..anyway in the Peter/Nate scenario, they’re not BOTH cretins!!!

The real reason they get along so well is b/c Nate provides such a contrast to Peter. It’s like the saying “Opposites attract”.

Nate is actually quite a genius, him being friends with Peter would leave him being friends with a billionaire researchist.

This makes me wonder: Does Nate resent Peter for being so much smarter than he is? Nate’s always boasting about his ego, saying how smart he really is, so it almost makes me think that he’d be jealous of Peter (like he was for Francis and Gina previously). Or is he just oblivious to this fact, causing him to think he can communicate well with Peter just because he sees him as an intellectual-minded person like he sees himself?
