I enjoyed TNG when it first aired, but now when I try to watch reruns, I just can’t do it. I think I’m siding with Francis on this one.

Nate is pouring his heart out to the wrong guy. While Francis is extremely pragmatic, he needed to be more sentient and empathetic to calm Nate down. Also, Nate was so engrossed in his talking that he didn’t realize, until the last panel, that Francis called Star Trek “a cheesy show”.
