Nate had been very parochial in the previous comics until now when Chad had mentioned that Mrs. Godfrey liking the same TV show as him could be beneficial. However, while Mrs. Godfrey could be much more magnanimous, it is implausible that she will give him 100s without him putting in any effort. The best that could happen is that Mrs. Godfrey would round a 85 to a 90 (but Nate actually have to be able to achieve those marks). This is why Gina is Mrs. Godfrey’s favourite student and Nate is not—it all depends on the grades.
Let me guess what starts to happen. Nate decides to not try at all on his assignments and won’t worry about it because he thinks Mrs. Godfrey will give him a good grade anyway because they like the same show.
Nate will use what he has in common with Godfrey to his advantage, in this case, maybe score some better grades. The question is now, how will he use a nerdy show that he and his teacher both like, to his gain, in school?

I feel like this is going to become a new method of bribery for Nate… and we know how much he exploits opportunities for that!

I think Mr. Peirce should do a spinoff/flash-forward with these characters, the way that Rugrats did. Nate and all the gang in High School!

Nate eats Cheez Doodles, Mrs. Godfrey eats Cheez Doodles. Therefore, according to Chad, Nate should get a C.
