Poll of the Day: What books do you think are on the list?

I loved reading when I was a kid. I grew up in a small town in the early 1970’s right before cable t.v. came to where I lived so all we had were 4 over-the-air channels to watch (well, 6 — if you included two PBS channels, which I don’t because I never watched them anyhow).

Things were “fine” back then until summer reruns started so, with nothing else better to do, I began going to the local library and borrowed books to fill up those long, empty, boring months ‘til fall and new programming started (and then, eventually, when it became available, we got cable t.v.!). But even then, I still continued to read any chance I got. Now, with HUNDREDS of channels to watch on cable t.v., there’s still nothing more I’d rather do than turn it off and read a good book instead! :-)
