It feels like COMIC Nate and BOOK Nate are completely different, where Nate in the chapter books is a narcissist who is willing to put his pride aside and help others, Nate HERE is a self-absorbed, egotistical JERK who does EVERYTHING possible to keep himself looking good, and criticizes his own friends just because they have a few traits that he doesn’t like all too much. And that’s the thing. The book version of all these characters is much more, well, marketable. Nicer. Meanwhile, THESE characters are jerks who usually care about nothing but themselves, or their personal life. Personally, just read the chapter books. They’re way better.

This storyline should be interesting.

BIG NATE AND THE SNAP: ENDGAME | PART 10

Five years since The Snap happened. Nate and Teddy are going to Chad’s house to convince him into joining their mission to retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet on the moon. They encounter Spitsy. His owner, Mr. Eustis, disintegrated by The Snap, and so Spitsy started to live in an alleyway, begging people for food.

Nate: Hi, Spitsy. I can’t play with you right no-

Spitsy jumps on Nate, making him fall down. He then proceeds to lick Nate’s face. He had recently ate a rotting fish a few hours ago.

Nate: AGH! Disgusting!

Spitsy: Woof!

Nate gets up and wipes Spitsy’s saliva off his face.

Nate: Look, Teddy and I need to go somewhere important. We need to get the Infinity Gauntlet to… uh, bring your past owner back to life, along with the other ones who suffered the same as him!

Spitsy starts jumping around excitably, like he wants to play. They all stand there for a few seconds.

Nate: Well, we gotta be going to Chad’s house.

Teddy: See ya, Spitsy.

Spitsy barks and follows Nate and Teddy. Nate notices this and stops walking.

Nate: Spitsy! Stop following us, we need to get to Chad’s house.

Teddy: Um, actually Nate, I think he wants to go with us.

Spitsy: Woof!

Nate: Oh… uhh… well, sure, I’d like a companion.

Spitsy jumps on Nate again and licks him. The scent of rotting fish is still there.

Nate: SPITSY, NO! Not again!
