One of the things I’ve learned in the living skills class in my college course is how to say hello to anyone I know in the most pleasant way (smile, eye contact, address the person, etc.). Yeah it is sort of an etiquette class, but it’s for when I get a professional job in the future. Also this is kinda like when Nate had to say hello to Gina in a pleasant way as part of the niceness bet

I actually REALLY relate to this joke. The pain of pretending eating away at you because a jerk teacher’s fragile ego can’t handle a minute without satiating.

I agree with Mrs. Godfrey, but it’s a little rude of her to point it out like that. Either take the bad greeting or at least make a light joke out of it. She should be used to regular behaviour like this from students and have learned to take it by now
