I doubt Nate’s is any better

So Nate is THIS silly so he can think that Lily will thank him for calling her story a hot mess? Lol

There’s a reason he’s calling it a hot mess, it’s because she wrote about wanting a cat, and since Nate has Ailurophobia ( fear of cats ), and the fact that Nate’s a dog person. Now this is my basing, but the message here is that Nate is trying to make Lily consider getting a dog, and not a cat, so in turn, will make Nate satisfied. but we all know, mostly anything will not go in favor of Nate’s way.

Writing “a hot mess” is not critiquing. Of course, he’s a kid and I’m sure HIS essay is a hot mess. Wonder who is critiquing HIS?

Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Nate.

Critique is an art. Must give credit for the good stuff and also show how to improve the overall project….

Kids need to be taught how to peer edit. You cant just throw a paper at them and say “critique”. That is a high school skill. Good grief, what a hot mess that teacher’s classroom will be!

I can’t stand the smug look that Nate gets on occasion. UGH!

Whoever is reviewing Nate’s story should write “DUMPSTER FIRE” at the top, and then pass it around to the whole class and get everyone to do the same or write something similar.
