As much as I want to continue reading this strip, it’s just…so boring now. I can’t even remember the last time a Big Nate strip actually made me laugh.

This antic by Nate is extremely common among kids. I used to do it for all kinds of things like If i hit that or get that in or a 4 leaf clover appears etc. etc. She’ll love me or I’ll win the lottery or I’ll grow 2 inches whatever. Kind of a thing for the younger ones.

Honestly the best twist would be if he DID ace it.
