This arc is now starting to go down the toilet.

In answer to your question, Nate: learning fundamentals through still life lets you apply the lessons learned to other things, such as shadow and texture. It’s the reason many cartoonists suggest you learn to draw realism so you can learn what works best to simplify on aspects of anatomy and facial structure.

After all how much would it help the caricature of Mrs Godfrey in that situation and made it more clear they were coyotes?

Nate’s incredible imagination and talent have to be nurtured, not pruned.

Seems like Nate needs to practice his coyotes.

I mean… can you blame him, Rosa? Sure, a mural like that is vulgar, but as we know, Mrs, Godfrey is, and I quote, “a giant zit on the forehead of life”.

See Nate, you need to work on your still life so that you can get better at drawing coyotes or wolves and people will know what they are.

Random thought: Replace the coyotes with the cats that Mrs. Godfrey has in the show.

this arc is very dry in my opinion, not very good jokes and this sort of arc has been done in the past many times

I feel like whenever Nate paints he paints something about Mrs Godfrey getting attacked or something

Frankly I’m surprised he didn’t paint her eating the coyotes.
